Council adopted Hear By Right standards on 17 April 2003. The Cabinet member Councillor Mary Weale acts as Champion for young people. This commitment is reaffirmed in the Youth Charter. The ‘teenagers to work’ scheme for looked after young people enables youth to undertake work experience around the Council with the support of elected members in the Social Services.
