Tenders frequently require the involvement of children and young people in the design, delivery and evaluation of the project or programme. The Youth Programme includes a requirement for participation in some tenders; young people were on the tender panel for the refresh of the Common Core to shape the skills of the workforce

• Partnership agreements

Agreements with Live and Local, the New Vic and other regularly funded organisations specify a commitment to young people.

- Sport development officers at leisure centres are developing the provision of specialist groups for Y/P with disabilities to attend.

Groups develop specific programmes/activities aimed at young people with specific needs and encourage their attendance, but their needs to be careful consideration about the location of venues as this can result in poor attendance.
Eg: YOT offer a parenting class the facilitators run it at low cost using venues available at low/no cost, no funding was provided for transport and the venue was not easily accessible for participants.

Partners to sign Partnership Agreement. Any formal partnerships will refer to our youth involvement policy and where appropriate YP will be invited to partnership meetings

All organisations currently contracted to provide services to young people through RBKC Partners in Learning funding are required to demonstrate commitment to active involvement. This has been continued as the Council moves towards integrated Voluntary Sector Funding for 2006-7

The Youth Forum and Service Manager Young People have briefed local organisation through the Regeneration Exchange Forum.

The ST 14-19 Partnership is committed to the involvement of children and young people in their organisations, including work based learning providers and the College.

Connexions are already involved in the HBR standard

Organisations that have signed up to the Multi Agency Youth Strategy are also committed to the active involvement of children and young people.

Children’s Fund projects are committed to active participation and support several council run projects involving children’s active involvement in their design and implementation
