Young people act as mystery shoppers, sit on staff recruitment panels, comment on streetscape plans and other Service Delivery Plans, complaints procedures, administer the Youth Grants scheme and have sat on panels for grant aid to organisations such as the Young Roots Lottery Heritage Fund. Young people are regularly involved in the Overview and Scrutiny process. For example, they have attended meetings on Council tax, which have looked at the level of spending on services and whether services provide good value for money.
