Young people and staff work together to make things better by developing a Draft Participation Strategy for Cumbria County Council. This strategy details Childrens Services Vision and at the heart of it’s priorities aims to involve children and young people.

The Council are also acknowledging participation through the development of a baseline Hear by Right Audit for Childrens Services in East.
NYAS seeks to provide and develop its services through the active participation of young people, who are involved at all levels of the organisation. NYAS state in their mission statement: "To enable children and young people to have a voice by providing independent and confidential advice, information and advocacy services

The Hear By Right Standards have been formally adopted by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Initially the YSDS Local Authority Youth Pledge was in place for the Youth Service and was shared with some services. However, this has been developed into a Council-wide Youth Policy and Charter. It details the beliefs of the Royal Borough with regards to serving children and young people, and it sets out responsibilities and commitments that the Borough will make to children and young people. Individual front line services may have separate charters giving more details of commitments, as long as they comply with the central policy and charter
