Pathways service has excellent links with the housing providers, this joint working has lead to more young people who are leaving care getting and keeping housing. It is planned that young people will be able to present their own situation to the housing panel in the future. Pathways also have good links with Connexions and the further education institutes in the area and are working to ensure that even the young people who are not in education, employment or training can access short courses. In Quarter 3 08/09 the figure for care leavers in employment, education and training was 87.5% Children’s Services use Language Line to ensure that relevant documentation etc. can be interpreted into the first language of children and young people when needed.
